Giving Tuesday 2025: Ready the home, Ready the heart
Every foster parent knows the call can come at 2 a.m. …
-A child is waiting.
-A caseworker is on the way.
-A safe home is ready to open its door.
But sometimes, something small stops everything: There isn’t a car seat.
The scramble to get a car seat is just one more thing to deal with amongst mandatory doctor checkups, running to the store for formula and diapers, and transportation to family visits.
It's a headache that our foster families don't need.
This Giving Tuesday (Dec. 2, 2025), we’re doing something simple but life-changing:
Get them their safely
We’re stocking the New Braunfels Foster Closet with 20 new car seats and booster seats — the very items that make midnight placements possible.
But that’s just the beginning.
Because once the child is safely buckled in, once the car seat is ready, once the essentials are met… they can be home.
And in December, we’re believing God for something even bigger: 15 new foster homes opened, licensed, and trained — each one a safe haven for children who have nowhere else to go.

Open new foster homes!
It costs $4,585 to recruit, train, license, and open one foster home for one year. Together we can stock the Foster Closet with essentials for new families, and open their homes to care for foster children.
