At our San Antonio foster care agency, we've compiled a comprehensive Recommended Resources page filled with suggestions specifically designed for foster and adoptive families, but applicable to all families. Here are four outstanding resources that have been making a significant impact in our community.
Pray for our foster families. Pray that more answer the call to make disciples of orphans. Pray boldly that every child finds a safe, loving home where they can hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Before we get into the topic for today, we want to share a really cool God moment that led to this blog. We did not have a formal devotional today, but we did meet for a prayer time. Our devotional today was over 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, but we focused specifically on verses three and eleven:
“I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said…So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed.”
We did not have a devotional today, but we did have a wonderful prayer time for all our current families and the families the Lord keeps sending our way. We can say in full confidence that God has brought and continues to bring us some truly amazing families who are committed to loving and supporting the children placed in their homes.
The tree was up on time, the house was decorated, the candlelight service was beautiful, and the kids loved their presents; Christmas (despite all the stress) went well this year. But now it’s time to take the decorations down and finish those leftovers from Christmas dinner. It’s time to go back to work and get back into the everyday routine.
