Thankful: Stakeholder Midstream

Today marks the conclusion of our Thankful series, and in this third installment, we reflect on a remarkable fundraising event hosted by Stakeholder Midstream. Based in San Antonio, Stakeholder operates in the energy sector and has organized a clay shoot fundraiser for the past seven years to support local charities. This year, on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of their unique event, Stakeholder selected 1HOPE for Kids as the beneficiary.

The decision was an easy one, driven by the personal commitment of two members of their C-suite. Both Co-CEO/CFO Robert Liddell and CCO Brett Baker, along with their families, have welcomed foster children into their homes through 1HOPE. In November, Stakeholder hosted the clay shoot at the National Shooting Complex, also known as the site of Lights Alive!, San Antonio's premier Christmas light show and a supporter of 1HOPE.

Teams from various companies and industries participated in competitive stages, with the most accurate team earning a coveted belt-buckle trophy. No event in Texas would be complete without sweet tea and barbecue, which was generously provided by HTeaO and sponsored by LCM Industries. Following lunch, 1HOPE CEO John Wilhelm, joined by Liddell, addressed the foster care crisis in the community, enlightening many attendees about the critical needs of children in care.

To enhance fundraising efforts, a raffle featuring firearms, coolers, and grills was conducted, resulting in record-breaking contributions for our agency. Despite state funding, which is insufficient to fully support our families and children, this event proved to be a significant victory. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Stakeholder and everyone who participated for their unwavering support of our mission.
