The Big Give: An online giving event

Help kids in foster care thrive this summer! We believe the best way to help kids thrive is to provide them with safe, loving homes as well as every opportunity to succeed and grow. This summer, we want the kids in our care to have the chance (maybe for the first time ever!) to go to summer camp, join a sports team, spend an afternoon at the lake, learn an instrument, receive services not covered by Medicaid (primarily cranial forming helmets) and so much more!

In 2019, our awesome donors raised $15,000 that went directly to providing summer activities for 22 kids and funding 6 infant cranial forming helmets. This year our goal is $20,000 and we need your help to reach it! Your donations to 1HOPE’s Big Give page between March 19th and March 26th will make summer activities and medical treatment not covered by Medicaid possible for children in 1HOPE foster homes.

The Big Give is South Central Texas’ 24-hour online day of online giving fueled by the power of generous donors, creative nonprofits, social media, collaboration, and you! The goal of the Big Give is to support local nonprofits that are committed to making South Central Texas a great place to live, work, and play. Since 2014, 217,039 donors have given over $25 million dollars to local nonprofits through the Big Give, making it one of the most successful giving days in the country.
