Prayer Blog
We did not have a devotional today, but we did have a wonderful prayer time for all our current families and the families the Lord keeps sending our way. We can say in full confidence that God has brought and continues to bring us some truly amazing families who are committed to loving and supporting the children placed in their homes.
During prayer time today one of the staff shared a compliment from a home inspector who asked where we find our great families. Our answer is always that God just keeps sending great families our way, as well as committed church partners full of people willing to get involved with foster care in some way. Every time we sit down for prayer, our families and church partners are on both our praise and prayer list as we thank God for their commitment and ask Him to continue to provide them with strength and resources.
We wanted to share the home inspector’s comment with all of you as a bit of encouragement for the times when fostering is hard. Other people see strength, love, and commitment in you—how encouraging! God put those qualities in you and His glory and strength are being shown to others through your testimony of foster care!
Since we did not have a devotional, we wanted to share a few prayers and praises from this morning:
Praise: We exceeded our original goal for Advent Conspiracy by almost $10,000.00! We are so thankful for the compassionate donors who gave in support of new foster homes!
Praise: All the new, wonderful families God keeps sending our way!
Prayer: We lift up the families who are going through the appeals process. We ask that the Lord give the families peace and give the courts clarity in each case.
Prayer: We stand in the gap through prayer for those families facing uncertain situations.
As always, we ask that you join us in prayer for our kids, our families, and our agency as a whole. Thank you to everyone who continues to partner with us in prayer!
